?Sunderland manager David Moyes admitted that it was ‘points missed’ in a huge opportunity for them to take all three against travel sick Burnley.
The amount of chances in the game could have seen either side score three or four goals a piece, and Moyes is disappointed with his side’s 0-0 draw. However, he did point to the fact that the Black Cats kept a clean sheet and is content with that.

Speaking to ?Sky Sports after the game, Moyes spoke about it being a missed opportunity for his team:
“But I do think that in the games and the run-in we have we were always going to have to pick up some draws.
“I hoped this one wasn’t a draw, there’s other games I’d hoped to get a draw in. Today was a game I was hoping to get three points from.”

The Scotsman also spoke about how he was pleased with the clean sheet, and how on another day they could have scored many of their chances: “W
“We made three or four really good opportunities, which we’ve actually not been doing of late.
“I think you would say on another day we would have scored those opportunities, we needed them today, that’s a fact, we needed to score.
“But Burnley are tough to play against for a lot of teams this year. Even away from home they’ve not been winning but they’ve certainly not been making it easy.”

The three points would have given Sunderland real hope of survival, but they now have a huge task on their hands, but Moyes is confident that they can do it:
“I don’t think we’re not believing. While the games are there, Sunderland have done it before. I think that gives us a little bit of room that Sunderland could do it again. Don’t be surprised if we do it. We’ve got to keep believing that.”
