?Sunderland remain rock bottom of the Premier League table and look certain for relegation after their 1-0 loss to Watford – still, David Moyes has said that they ‘must go again’ in a huge match against Leicester City on Tuesday.
Sunderland’s defeat on Saturday was their 19th of the season and they are currently eight points off safety in the Premier League, looking destined for Championship football next season, with their only really hope being Jermain Defoe.
After the match on Saturday, Moyes spoke to ?Teamtalk about how Leicester is a huge game for them:
“We wanted a win from one of these two games and we didn’t get it, we came close to getting something, but we’ll have to try and get it on Tuesday against Leicester now.
“We deserved a point at least at Watford. I thought we stuck at it and we need to make more of our performance next time out.”
The Scotsman was annoyed with how few chances they managed to create in the match against Watford, feeling they were poor in that aspect of the game:
“The subs we made did well, Ndong and Khazri brought something new to the game when they came on. At that point we were a goal down and we pushed for an equaliser but it wasn’t to be.”
