?Black Cats boss David Moyes admitted that the Premier League future of Sunderland looks bleak now, after falling to a 2-0 defeat away to Leicester.
Sunderland matched the Foxes for long periods of the game, but a header from Islam Slimani and a rifled finish from Jamie Vardy saw the champions continue their rich form under Craig Shakespeare.
“We did great for 60 minutes, I thought we played very well” Moyes told ?Sky Sports after the match.
“If we’d been in front, I don’t think anyone could’ve complained.”
Moyes lamented the Black Cats’ bad luck during the game, after Vardy’s crucial second goal came barely 90 seconds after Sunderland themselves had hit the frame of Kasper Schmeichel’s goal.
“The small margins are important, and we just didn’t get them today.
“It’s desperate now […] I always felt that we had to win one of these two games away from home, the boys have given it a good go, I can’t fault it, they’ve done everything they can.”
