?After last week’s home draw with West Ham left them in 12th place, Stoke will be hoping to get back to winning ways and push towards the top-half of the table.
Here’s how they could line-up against the Cherries.
Goalkeeper
-
Butland1
?After making his first Premier League appearance in over a year last weekend, Jack Butland is expected to keep his place in goal.
Defence
-
Johnson8
-
Shawcross17
-
Martins Indi15
-
Muniesa5
?Manager Mark Hughes is likely to stick with the same back four that has been tried and trusted lately.
Glen Johnson and Marc Muniesa will continue in the full-back roles, with both defenders dangerous going forward.
The two centre-backs, Ryan Shawcross and Bruno Martins Indi, will hope to give Bournemouth’s attackers a tough afternoon.
Midfield
?Geoff Cameron and Glenn Whelan will likely start at the base of Stoke’s 4-2-3-1 formation, protecting the back four and giving freedom to those in front of them.
Marko Arnautovic and Xherdan Shaqiri will hope to cause havoc on the wings, while Joe Allen will hope to get into space and get on the end of chances in and out of the box.
Forwards
-
Berahino9
?Despite failing to score in 12 appearances so far for Stoke, Mark Hughes will likely stick with Sadio Berahino, who is just missing that touch of luck at the moment.
If Berahino continues to fire blanks though, veteran forwards Jon Walters and Peter Crouch will no doubt be ready to come in.
