Why Outcast Bojan Krkic Could Be the Answer to Stoke City's Middle Table Woes

?The 2016/17 season has been one to forget for Stoke City.

This Premier League campaign has seen a lack of goals and creativity going forward.

The Potters have been poor in front of goal, managing just 39 goals which currently ranks them 15th in the Premier League’s goals scored table. With this lack of goals, and a slide in their once feared home form, Mark Hughes has been forced to regularly rotate the strikers and the formation in an attempt to get the best out of his side.

Saido Berahino has recently managed to have a consistent run of games at striker, displaying some intelligent runs in behind, but has ultimately failed to score. Midfielder Joe Allen remains the top scorer (joint with Marko Arnautovic) with just six goals.

This begs the question, how will Hughes, who is under growing pressure from sections of the fans, address this drought?

The solution could be very simple. Reintroduce former Barcelona man Bojan Krkic, who currently finds himself on loan at Bundesliga strugglers Mainz.

Bojan is just what Stoke are lacking, a creative attacker who possesses a top class touch, impeccable vision and a gifted football brain. He seems the perfect player to link with Berahino, as well as contributing his own share of goals.
