Southampton Star Increases Transfer Speculation by Liking a Liverpool Player's Post on Twitter

We are part of an era ?in which a footballer liking the social media post of a footballer from another team is considered a sign of intent.

So by that measure, Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk should be on his way to Liverpool at the end of the season.

The Dutch centre-back has been linked to a host of clubs over the past few months, with Chelsea and Liverpool being reported as the most likely destinations.

After liking Georginio Wijnaldum’s tweet regarding Liverpool’s victory against West Ham on the weekend, Van Dijk set Reds fans buzzing.

??But if you were to keep scrolling down the player’s likes on Twitter, you’d find that he liked a lot of Chelsea-related stuff too – them being Premier League champions and all.

The defender may well be on the move this summer. After all, it would be extremely difficult for the Saints to hold on to him.

But is a like anything to go on?
