?Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe has revealed that he will make a decision on his future after his international duty with England.
The 34-year-old will leave the relegated Black Cats on a free transfer in the summer having scored 15 Premier League goals.
Bournemouth are understood to have agreed terms with Defoe over a potential three-year contract, but he has insisted that he is simply focusing on playing for England.
“There has been a lot of speculation about me going to this club and that club, a lot of stuff about Bournemouth,” Defoe said – via the Sunderland Echo.
“I have just kept my head down and I am focused on England and the two games coming up, whether I play or not, just to be around the team and to try and enjoy it. There is no better feeling than to put that England shirt on.
“I want to get my head down, get England out of the way and then sit down with my family and decide what I really want to do. We’ll see what happens.”
On the reports of a move to Bournemouth, he added:
“What Eddie Howe has achieved is unbelievable. They have a good team, a lot of energy and my time there when I was younger I really enjoyed it, it was brilliant.
“But at the moment I want to focus on England.
