Lindelof is the most expensive defender in United’s history.

Manchester United have completed the transfer of the defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica for 35 million euros with bonuses reaching  40million funts.

Swedish footballer traveled to Manchester on Wednesday to discuss personal conditions and to do the examinations.

The 22-year-old has become the most expensive defender of the Red Devils by surpassing the figure that United paid when transferred Rio Ferdinand.

In 2002, United had paid a total of  39.1 million £ when he bought his former defenders from Leeds United.

“I’m excited. I’m happy with Benfica and I’ve learned a lot there. ”

“However, I look forward to playing in the Premier League at Old Trafford and for Jose Mourinho.” -Lindelof said.
