Liverpool Reportedly Preparing Big-Money Offer for 'Unhappy' Inter Milan Star

?Liverpool are reportedly looking to bring Inter Milan’s €28m-rated attacker Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa to the club in a deal that could mirror Philippe Coutinho’s arrival – after the player admitted to being unhappy.

The Brazilian international has been frozen out of the Serie A side after his move to the San Siro in the summer, having been given just 16 minutes of playing time so far this season.

And according ?Football Italia, the player’s agent, Wagner Ribeiro, has suggested that his client has a desire to leave the club as soon as possible after not being given a chance in the team, despite the 20-year-old’s Olympic heroics and reputation built at former club Santos.

“Why isn’t he playing? Not even Inter can answer that,” said Ribeiro.

“When he came from Brazil they said he wasn’t ready physically, but now he’s in great shape. The truth is that they haven’t even given him a chance.

“Gabriel was a starter at Santos, called-up by Brazil and has been an Olympic champion. Then he was sold for an amazing figure.

“We’ll resolve this situation in January, he has a five-year contract but that doesn’t mean anything if he isn’t playing. He’s unhappy right now.”

The current situation with Gabigol mirrors that of Coutinho, who too was frozen out of the Inter first team before the Reds swooped in and brought him to Anfield in 2013, and the arrival of his compatriot at the club would be a welcome boost to coach Jurgen Klopp’s attacking options with Daniel Sturridge seemingly set to leave the club after falling out of favour.

However, it is uncertain whether the Merseyside club will put an actual bid on the table, with many suggesting that he’s talented, but a ‘celebrity footballer’, regarded highly by most from YouTube compilations, and not a hard-working ‘Klopp-player’.
