The ever charismatic Jurgen Klopp has delved into life at Anfield. Results are going well, the players seem to love working with him, the supporters rally behind him and the energy he brings to the football club has got the Reds buzzing once again.
67-year-old Marie Wright of Dublin can testify to Klopp’s good guy attitude, after she received her ‘best ever Christmas present’ two weeks early, when a letter arrived through the post from none other than the Liverpool boss.
The grandmother of 14 was diagnosed with terminal cancer in February, but has defied expectations, with her ongoing fight and managed to travel to Anfield in September, along with 13 family members to meet some club greats and attend the the Reds’ 4-1 home win over Leicester.
The letter from her “crush”, which Marie posted on Facebook, reads:
“Dear Marie, I am very sorry to hear of your illness. As one of our supporters you are part of our LFC family and that means we care about you.
“Marie my thoughts and prayers are with you, everyone here at Liverpool Football Club
“She said it was the best Christmas present ever”
Janice also said her mum still hopes to make it back to Anfield in the New Year to secure a personal date with the German.
“Mam is still fighting and thankfully in no pain. She is still very positive and please God can make it back to Liverpool in the New Year and maybe even get her wish to meet Jurgen Klopp. That’s the dream.”
